| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of George H. Noud of Shirley, who passed | 4 | | away on October 19, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, George Noud was born to William and Ruth (Olson) | 6 | | Noud in Madison on July 31, 1930; he earned a degree in | 7 | | business administration from Southern Illinois University; he | 8 | | served in the United States Army during the Korean War; he | 9 | | married Anne L. Pagel at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in | 10 | | Bloomington on April 27, 1968; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, George Noud worked for the State Farm Insurance | 12 | | Company in Underwriting and Management Planning for 38 years, | 13 | | retiring in 1996; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, George Noud served as a Dale Township Trustee for | 15 | | several years; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, George Noud was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic | 17 | | Church where he was part of the St. Vincent DePaul Society; he | 18 | | was a member of various professional organizations, including | 19 | | the National Association of Business Economists; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, George Noud enjoyed traveling and helping on the |

| 1 | | farm for several years with the planting and harvesting; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, George Noud was preceded in death by his parents; | 3 | | his seven brothers; and his two sisters; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, George Noud is survived by his wife, Anne; his | 5 | | daughter, Annette (Jeremy) Laskowski; and his grandchildren, | 6 | | Jake Laskowski, Cole Laskowski, Sydney Bickerstaff, and Luke | 7 | | Laskowski; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| 10 | | George H. Noud and extend our sincere
condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it | 12 | | further
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
| 14 | | presented to the family of George Noud as an expression of
our | 15 | | deepest sympathy.
