| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Theresa | 4 | | Mazurek Donnewald of Arlington Heights, who passed away on | 5 | | February 25, 2019; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Theresa Donnewald was born in Chicago to Stephan | 7 | | and Zofia (Kucybala) Mazurek on May 5, 1961; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Theresa Donnewald clerked for the Honorable | 9 | | William Beatty of Alton from 1985 to 1986; she worked for | 10 | | Rivkin, Radler, Dunne & Bayh in Chicago from 1986 to 1991 and | 11 | | CNA Insurance Companies in Chicago from 1991 to 2014; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Theresa Donnewald was an advocate for breast | 13 | | cancer research; she was an avid supporter of her children's | 14 | | sports teams and a Chicago White Sox fan; she was known for her | 15 | | inquisitive mind, poetic writing, and witty sense of humor; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Theresa Donnewald was preceded in death by her | 17 | | father, Stephan Mazurek; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Theresa Donnewald is survived by her spouse of 30 | 19 | | years, Craig Donnewald, who is the son of James Donnewald, | 20 | | former State Representative, State Senator, and State |

| 1 | | Treasurer; her children, Katie and Steven Donnewald; her | 2 | | siblings, Ann (Richard) Kowalczyk, Andrew (Michelle) Mazurek, | 3 | | and Stephen Mazurek; and her mother, Zofia Mazurek; therefore, | 4 | | be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 6 | | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 7 | | we mourn the passing of Theresa Mazurek Donnewald and extend | 8 | | our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who | 9 | | knew and loved her; and be it further
