AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2599

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2599 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section 5-43027 as follows:

(55 ILCS 5/5-43027 new)

Sec. 5-43027. Representation at hearings. In counties with a population of 3,000,000 or more, a corporation or limited liability company may appear at an administrative hearing proceeding through an officer, a board member, a shareholder with a controlling interest in the corporation, a shareholder of an S Corporation, or a member of a limited liability company with power to bind the corporation. Nothing in this Section may be construed to permit appearances in contested property tax proceedings.".
