AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2296

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2296, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 1, on page 4, by replacing lines 2 through 6 with the following:

"(a) Rechargeable battery" means one or more voltaic or galvanic cells, electrically connected to produce electric energy, that is designed to be recharged for repeated uses. "Rechargeable battery" includes, but is not limited to, a battery containing lithium ion, lithium metal, or lithium polymer or that uses lithium as an anode or cathode, that is designed to be recharged for repeated uses. "Rechargeable battery" does not mean either of the following:"; and

on page 4, lines 15 and 21, by replacing "as part of" with "by" each time it appears; and

on page 5, by replacing lines 1 through 9 with the following:

"(c) The Agency shall include on its website information regarding the recycling of rechargeable batteries.".
