SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Carol R. Marks of Wood River, who passed
4away on July 22, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carol Marks was born in Wood River to Paul and
6Lucille (Davis) Heathcott on August 14, 1936; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Carol Marks retired as an office clerk with the
8Madison County Recorder of Deeds; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Carol Marks was a member of the Bethalto Church of
10God, where she taught the Senior Sunday School class for
11several years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Carol Marks was preceded in death by her parents;
13her son, Eddie Marks; her former husband, Bill Marks; her
14stepmother, Harriott Heathcott; and her brother-in-law, Edwin
15Marks; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Carol Marks is survived by her daughter, Paula
17(Tom) Carach; her sons, Fred Marks, Marty (Julie) Marks, and
18Harry (Barb) Marks; nine grandchildren; nine
19great-grandchildren; her brothers, Ron Heathcott and Dale
20(Susie) Heathcott; her uncle and aunt, Jim and Katie Davis; her

1aunt, Barbara Edgar; her sister-in-law, Pat Marks; her dear
2friend who was like a sister, Rachel Wiggins; and several
3nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Carol R. Marks, and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Carol Marks as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
