SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Sandra Hotz of Salem, who passed away on
4April 26, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Sandra Hotz was born in Murray, Kentucky to James
6S. and Mavis (Cleaver) Carr on September 25, 1946; she married
7Karl J. Tilkens on November 11, 1967 and later married Frank W.
8Hotz on March 26, 1991; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Sandra Hotz was a faithful member of the Emmanuel
10Baptist Church in Salem; she was a tireless volunteer for the
11Republican Woman's Central Committee and a proud volunteer for
12State Senator Kyle McCarter; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Sandra Hotz was a beautiful and elegant lady and
14was a perfect example of grace and dignity; she loved her
15children and grandchildren with all her heart and she showed
16tremendous fighting spirit; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Sandra Hotz was preceded in death by her parents,
18and her second husband, Frank; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Sandra Hotz is survived by her children, Eric
20James (Rachel) Tilkens, Karla Annette (Warren) Blake, and

1Lindsay Nadeen (Greg) Townsend; her stepchildren, Frank W. Jr.
2(Cindy) Hotz, and Tanya Lyn (Bobby) Goodwin; her 11
3grandchildren; and her two great-grandchildren; therefore, be
4it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Sandra Hotz, and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
8friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Sandra Hotz as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
