| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Glen A. "Pete" Borman Jr. of Alton, who | 4 | | passed away on February 25, 2017; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Glen Borman Jr. was born in Alton to Glenn Borman | 6 | | Sr. and Eleanor (Hartmann) Borman on February 24, 1938; he | 7 | | graduated from St. Mary's grade school, Marquette Catholic High | 8 | | School, and St. Louis University; he married Jane Kaveler on | 9 | | May 7, 1960; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Glen Borman Jr. went to work at McDonnell Aircraft | 11 | | as a liaison engineer and continued on as it became | 12 | | McDonnell-Douglas and then Boeing; he spent most of his career | 13 | | on the design and production of the F-15 fighter and retired | 14 | | after 54 years on October 23, 2015; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Glen Borman Jr. had several hobbies including, | 16 | | Santa's workshop foreman, golf, hunting, woodworking, and | 17 | | enjoyed requests from family to design and produce challenging | 18 | | pieces of furniture; he belonged to the Sportsman's Club, the | 19 | | Eagle's Club, and was president of the Owl's Club for 20 years; | 20 | | and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Glen Borman Jr. was preceded in death by his |

| 1 | | parents; infants, Paula Jean and Tiny Tim; his granddaughter, | 2 | | Emily; and his sister, Patricia McCollam; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Glen Borman Jr. is survived by his wife, Jane; his | 4 | | children, Andrew "Big Bird" Borman, Tom "Lurch" (Heather), Tim | 5 | | "Moon Dog", and Scott "Tweety" (Angela) Borman; his | 6 | | grandchildren, Clayton, Jessica, Isabel, Lily, Clara, Sophie, | 7 | | and Spencer; his sisters, Carol (Guy) Nasello, and Sue Nagy | 8 | | (Steve Leahy); his brother-in-law, Don McCollam; and many | 9 | | nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Glen A. "Pete" Borman Jr., and extend our sincere condolences | 13 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 14 | | it further | 15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 16 | | presented to the family of Glen Borman Jr. as an expression of | 17 | | our deepest sympathy.
