AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2667

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2667 on page 7, by replacing lines 2 through 4 with the following:

"and property taxes;"; and

on page 7, by replacing line 13 with the following:

"(10) the applicant demonstrates a substantial plan for using the designation to encourage: (i) participation by businesses owned by minorities, women, and persons with disabilities, as those terms are defined in the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Women, and Persons with Disabilities Act; and (ii) the hiring of minorities, women, and persons with disabilities. the change in equalized assessed"; and

on page 10, by replacing lines 6 and 7 with the following:

"government tax base."; and

by replacing everything from line 18 on page 10 through line 2 on page 11 with the following:

"(10) Up to 40 points for the extent to which the applicant meets or exceeds the criteria in item (10) of subsection (f) of Section 4 of this Act, with points awarded according to the severity of the change in equalized assessed valuation."; and

on page 19, by deleting lines 17 through 22.
