1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1851
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1851 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5 changing Section 5-2.1a as follows:

6     (305 ILCS 5/5-2.1a)
7     Sec. 5-2.1a. Treatment of trust amounts. To the~~the~~ extent
8 required by federal law, the Department of Healthcare and
9 Family Services shall provide by rule for the consideration of
10 trusts and similar legal instruments or devices established by
11 a person in the Illinois Department's determination of the
12 person's eligibility for and the amount of assistance provided
13 under this Article.
