HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Donald F.
4Futymoski of Aurora, who passed away on July 19, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Futymoski was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan
6to John and Wanda Futymoski on December 3, 1925; he attended
7Roosevelt Elementary School and Kalamazoo Central High School;
8at the age of 18, he joined the United States Marine Corps and
9became part of the 5th Marine Division as a gunner in a mortar
10platoon on Iwo Jima; after the surrender of Japan, he was part
11of the occupation forces on the island of Kyushu; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Donald Futymoski returned from the war and became
13a pipefitter, working for Upjohn in Kalamazoo; he was a
14sprinkler fitter for UA Local 669; he married Margaret J. Watt
15in Aurora on October 31, 1953; he joined the Aurora Fire
16Department in 1956 and retired in 1979; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Donald Futymoski was a member of the Fox Valley
18Marines and the Phoenix Club and a former member of Moose Lodge
19400; he coached boys baseball and youth league softball; he
20enjoyed watching Sealmasters and Home Savings at SA Field and
21when they travelled as well; he also enjoyed fishing and
22vegetable gardening; and

1    WHEREAS, Donald Futymoski was preceded in death by his
2parents; his wife, Margaret J. Futymoski; and his siblings,
3Pete Futymoski, Tina Russell, and John Futymoski; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Donald Futymoski is survived by his sons, Bill
5Futymoski and Scott Futymoski; his granddaughters, Jennifer
6(Jacob) Hugg and Heather Futymoski; and his siblings, Millie
7Powers, Lorraine Endicott, Lillian (Ken) Williams, Stan
8Futymoski, and Ed (Jean) Futymoski; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
10HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
11mourn the passing of Donald F. Futymoski, and extend our
12sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
13and loved him; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Donald Futymoski as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
