HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Ronald A.
4Oppedisano, who passed away on January 8, 2017 at the age of
561; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano was the beloved husband of Linda
7(Valentino), and the loving father of Tena (Brian) McCullough,
8Lisa (James) Gannon, and Vincent Oppedisano; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano was the dearly loved son of the
10late August Oppedisano and Norma (Larry) Battisti; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano was the fond son-in-law to Rita
12and the late Richard Valentino, and dear brother-in-law of
13Anthony (Gail) and Michele Valentino; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano earned his bachelor's degree
15from Northeastern Illinois University in urban planning and
16environmental studies; he worked for the Cook County Assessor
17and founded Disano Appraisal Consultants; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano began his public service career
19in 1991 as a member of the Norridge Zoning Board of Appeals; he
20served in various other capacities before being elected to the

1office of Village President in 2009; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Although health issues prevented Ronald
3Oppedisano from continuing on with public service, he remained
4a charismatic, respected, and devoted member of the
5Italian-American community; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Ronald Oppedisano touched the lives of many and
7will be remembered by all who knew him; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
9HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
10mourn the passing of Ronald A. Oppedisano and we extend our
11sincere condolences to his friends, family, and all who knew
12and loved him; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Ronald A. Oppedisano so that his
15memory may be honored and ever cherished.
