AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3359

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3359 on page 75, line 8, after "19-129", by inserting "and by adding Section 9-109.6"; and

on page 94, by inserting immediately below line 9 the following:

"(735 ILCS 5/9-109.6 new)

Sec. 9-109.6. Residential eviction order; form. A standardized residential eviction order form, as determined by the Supreme Court, shall be used statewide."; and

on page 113, by replacing lines 7 through 12 with the following:

"lease will be terminated. If the tenant does not pay the rent due within the time stated in the notice under this Section, the landlord may consider the lease ended and commence an eviction or ejectment action without further notice or demand. If the tenant does not within the time mentioned in such notice, pay the rent due, the landlord may consider the lease ended, and sue for the possession under the statute in relation to forcible entry and detainer, or maintain ejectment without further notice or demand. A claim for rent may be joined in the complaint,".
