| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Mose Harris Jr., who passed away on | 4 | | September 7, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mose Harris Jr. was born in Barazzoni, Mississippi | 6 | | to Mose Sr. and Ruby Harris on November 16, 1955; he moved to | 7 | | Chicago with his family at a young age; he attended Beethoven | 8 | | Elementary School and Dusable High School; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Mose Harris Jr. worked as an individual contractor | 10 | | for over 30 years; he worked for the Austin family for over 30 | 11 | | years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Mose Harris Jr. was affectionately known as | 13 | | "Skip"; he loved attending family gatherings, reading the | 14 | | Bible, and attending church; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Mose Harris Jr. was preceded in death by his | 16 | | parents; his sisters, Edna and Debra Harris; and his brother, | 17 | | Randy Harris; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Mose Harris Jr. is survived by his children, | 19 | | Santana Galmore, Nicole Galmore-Fifer, and Creed Louis; his | 20 | | son-in-law, Phillip Fifer; his daughter-in-law, Tonya |
