| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William Webster Hamilton of Rock Island, | 4 | | who passed away on January 24, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, William Hamilton was born on December 24, 1921; | 6 | | his parents were William Monroe and Grace Pansy (nee Stolba) | 7 | | Hamilton; he married Janyce B. Stone in 1945; he married Ursula | 8 | | Kratochwill in 1986; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, William Hamilton graduated from high school in | 10 | | Marion, Iowa, in 1940; he then joined the United States Navy in | 11 | | 1942 and fought in the Pacific Theater; he was discharged in | 12 | | 1945; in June of 1950, he re-enlisted during the Korean War; | 13 | | and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, William Hamilton attended Coe College in Cedar | 15 | | Rapids from 1948 to 1949; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, William Hamilton was employed by Colonial Bakery, | 17 | | followed by a supervisory position at Harvest Day Bakery; he | 18 | | retired in 1986; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, William Hamilton enjoyed spending time with his | 20 | | family, playing the accordion, building bird houses, and |

| 1 | | traveling with his wife, Ursula; and | 2 | | WHEREAS, William Hamilton was preceded in death by his | 3 | | parents; his first wife, Janyce Byrdena (nee Stone) Hamilton; | 4 | | and his brothers, John and James Hamilton; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, William Hamilton is survived by his wife, Ursula | 6 | | Hamilton; his children, Jill (David) Linder, Kim Hamilton, Jan | 7 | | (Dean Ryan) Mossage, and Sue (Rick) Hamilton-Petty; his | 8 | | stepchildren, Renata (Warren) Lucas and Carmen (Greg) Beice; | 9 | | his 8 grandchildren; his 6 step-grandchildren; his 18 | 10 | | great-grandchildren; and his 6 great-great-grandchildren; | 11 | | therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 14 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of William Webster | 15 | | Hamilton; and be it further
| 16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 17 | | presented to the family of William Hamilton as an expression of | 18 | | our sympathy.
