| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Virginia Weaver of Peoria, who passed | 4 | | away on June 3, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver was born in Eureka to Ora and Ella | 6 | | Garber; she graduated from Peoria High School and married | 7 | | Robert Weaver on June 3, 1945; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver worked at the Buehler Home | 9 | | retirement community in the accounting department; she was a | 10 | | founding partner of Weaver Enterprises; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver loved flowers, particularly | 12 | | planning, developing, and working in her perennial gardens; she | 13 | | and her husband were well known in the horse coaching and | 14 | | carriage world; she also enjoyed spending time with her family; | 15 | | and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver served as a Sunday school teacher | 17 | | and church treasurer for many years; in her later years, she | 18 | | attended the First United Methodist Church; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver and her husband were jointly | 20 | | honored as the Association of Fundraising Professionals |

| 1 | | Philanthropists of the Year; they were also Easter Seals | 2 | | Tribute Dinner honorees; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver was preceded in death by her | 4 | | husband of 69 years, Robert; her parents; and her sister, | 5 | | Shirley Roth; and | 6 | | WHEREAS, Virginia Weaver is survived by her children, Jerry | 7 | | (Nancy) Weaver, Phyllis (Don) Crouch, Steve (Shelley) Weaver, | 8 | | Karen (Bob Vespa) Weaver, and Charles (Laurie) Weaver; her 16 | 9 | | grandchildren; and her 19 great-grandchildren; therefore, be | 10 | | it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | 13 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Virginia Weaver; and | 14 | | be it further
| 15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 16 | | presented to the family of Virginia Weaver as an expression of | 17 | | our sympathy.
