AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 805

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 805 by replacing
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by
5changing Sections 11-301, 11-1403.2, and 12-209 as follows:
 
6    (625 ILCS 5/11-301)  (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 11-301)
7    Sec. 11-301. Department to adopt sign manual.
8    (a) The Department shall adopt a State manual and
9specifications for a uniform system of traffic-control devices
10consistent with this Chapter for use upon highways within this
11State. Such manual shall include the adoption of the R 7-8 sign
12adopted by the United States Department of Transportation to
13designate the reservation of parking facilities for a person
14with disabilities. Non-conforming signs in use prior to January
151, 1985 shall not constitute a violation during their useful
16lives, which shall not be extended by other means than normal

1maintenance. The manual shall also specify insofar as
2practicable the minimum warrants justifying the use of the
3various traffic control devices. Such uniform system shall
4correlate with and, where not inconsistent with Illinois
5highway conditions, conform to the system set forth in the most
6recent edition of the national manual on Uniform Traffic
7Control Devices for Streets and Highways.
8    (b) Signs adopted by the Department to designate the
9reservation of parking facilities for a person with
10disabilities shall also exhibit, in a manner determined by the
11Department, the words "$250 $100 Fine".
12    (c) If the amount of a fine is changed, the Department
13shall change the design of the signs to indicate the current
14amount of the fine.

17    Sec. 11-1403.2. Operating a motorcycle, motor driven
18cycle, or moped on one wheel; aggravated operating a
19motorcycle, motor driven cycle, or moped on one wheel.
20    (a) No person shall operate a motorcycle, motor driven
21cycle, or moped on one wheel.
22    (b) Aggravated operating a motorcycle, motor driven cycle,
23or moped on one wheel. A person commits aggravated operating a
24motorcycle, motor driven cycle, or moped on one wheel when he
25or she violates subsection (a) of this Section while committing

1a violation of subsection (b) of Section 11-601 or a violation
2of Section 11-601.5 of this Code. A violation of this
3subsection is a petty offense with a minimum fine of $100,
4except a second conviction of a violation of this subsection is
5a Class B misdemeanor and a third or subsequent conviction of a
6violation of this subsection is a Class A misdemeanor in
7addition to other statutory penalties.

10    Sec. 12-209. Additional Lighting Equipment.
11    (a) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than 2
12side cowl or fender lamps which shall emit an amber or white
13light without glare.
14    (b) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than
15one running board courtesy lamp on each side thereof which
16shall emit a white or amber light without glare.
17    (c) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with one or more
18back-up lamps either separately or in combination with other
19lamps; but any such back-up lamp or lamps shall be mounted on
20the rear of the vehicle and emit a white light and shall not be
21lighted when the motor vehicle is in forward motion.
