AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3689

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3689 as follows:

on page 3, by replacing lines 16 through 20 with "a person with disabilities who: (i) has been issued registration plates under subsection (a) of Section 3-609 or Section 3-616 of this Code or a special decal or device under this Section, (ii) holds a valid Illinois driver's license, and (iii) is unable to do one or more of the following:"; and

on page 4, line 20, after "driving", by inserting "and the person with disabilities does not have an Illinois driver's license. This meter-exempt decal or device may be used by the authorized holder to designate and identify a vehicle when the vehicle is being used to transport a person or persons with disabilities and that person with disabilities is unable to drive on his or her own".
