AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1490
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1490 by replacing
everything after the enacting clause with the following:
This Act may be cited as the
Commission on Young Adult Employment Act.
Commission on Young Adult Employment.
Commission on Young Adult Employment is created as a 17-member
Commission. Four members of the Commission shall be appointed
by each legislative leader. Members of the Commission shall
receive no compensation, but may be reimbursed for their
expenses from appropriations available for that purpose. The
Chairperson of the University of Illinois Board of Trustees or
his or her designee shall be the chairperson of the Commission.
The Commission shall meet at the call of the Chair. Each
Commission member shall have a 2-year term. A legislative
leader may appoint a replacement member upon the death,

disability, or resignation of any member appointed by that

education that may be addressed by the 99th General Assembly
and future General Assemblies. The Commission shall make

and by November 30 of every year thereafter, the Commission
shall submit a report to the General Assembly setting forth its
findings and recommendations. The requirement for reporting to
the General Assembly shall be satisfied by filing copies of the
report with the Speaker, Minority Leader, and Clerk of the
House of Representatives, the President, Minority Leader, and
Secretary of the Senate, and the Legislative Research Unit as
required under Section 3.1 of the General Assembly Organization
This Act is repealed January 1, 2019.
