AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1659

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1659 on page 1, by
3replacing lines 13 through 15 with the following:
4"residents who are qualified ex-offenders. The total credit
5allowed to a taxpayer with respect to each qualified
6ex-offender may not exceed $1,500 $600 for all taxable years.
7For"; and
 
8on page 2, by replacing lines 21 through 22 with the following:
9        "(1) has been convicted of a crime in this State or of
10    an offense in any other jurisdiction, not including any
11    offense or attempted offense that would subject a person to
12    registration under the Sex Offender Registration Act is an
13    eligible offender, as defined under Section 5-5.5-5 of the
14    Unified Code of Corrections;"; and
 
15on page 2, line 25, by replacing "one year" with "3 years one
16year"; and

1by deleting everything from line 13 on page 3 through line 3 on
2page 4.
