| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Nancy | 4 | | Marie Blechle of Carbondale, who passed away on February 18, | 5 | | 2014; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Blechle was born in Perryville, Missouri on | 7 | | March 25, 1970 to Robert J. and Georgia Fay (nee Henderson) | 8 | | Blechle; she graduated from St. Vincent de Paul High School in | 9 | | Perryville, Missouri in 1988; she earned her Bachelor of | 10 | | Science in Education from Southeast Missouri State University | 11 | | in 1993 and her Masters of Natural Science in 2000; she | 12 | | received her Ph.D. in 2007 from Southern Illinois University at | 13 | | Carbondale (SIUC); and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Blechle worked as an educator at | 15 | | Pinckneyville Community High School; in 2003, she received the | 16 | | Graduate Assistant Outstanding Teaching Award for the College | 17 | | of Education and Human Services at SIUC; in 2008, she was a | 18 | | Coca-Cola Scholar Educator of Distinction, and in 2012, she | 19 | | received KFVS Heartland's Best Teacher Award; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Blechle enjoyed scuba diving, motorcycle | 21 | | riding, camping, traveling, glass bead making, reading, and | 22 | | laughing; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Blechle was preceded in death by her father; | 2 | | and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Blechle is survived by her mother; her | 4 | | partner, Ellen Suzanne Smothers; her sisters, Debra Kay (Allan) | 5 | | Quamen and Connie Ann (Norman) Lambert; and several nieces and | 6 | | nephews; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 8 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 9 | | we mourn the passing of Nancy Marie Blechle, and extend our | 10 | | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew | 11 | | and loved her; and be it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Nancy Blechle as an expression of | 14 | | our deepest sympathy.
