| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Dolores Stephan of Arlington Heights, who | 4 | | passed away on September 3, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, She was born August 14, 1929, in Point Marion, | 6 | | Pennsylvania, to Anthony and Elizabeth (nee Politano) Rivoli; | 7 | | she attended South Hills High School and graduated from | 8 | | Pittsburgh Business School; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, She began working at the Wheeling Township office | 10 | | in 1974; she served 6 terms as the township assessor from 1981 | 11 | | to 2005, and during that time she especially enjoyed making | 12 | | house calls to homebound senior citizens and those with | 13 | | disabilities; she also worked as a realtor since 1981, most | 14 | | recently with Prudential Starck Realtors; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, She was actively involved at St. Edna Catholic | 16 | | Church, teaching religion education and serving on various | 17 | | committees; she was passionately involved in the Republican | 18 | | Party, and campaigned for various candidates; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her beloved husband | 20 | | of 43 years, Ernie; as well as her siblings, Rose Piluso, Norma | 21 | | Nash, and Tony, Gilbert, and Armand Rivoli; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Dolores Stephan is survived by her children, Maria | 2 | | E. Manning and Linda T. (Tom) Karch; her grandchildren, Ryan | 3 | | Manning, and Justin and Lukas Karch; and her many nieces and | 4 | | nephews; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 7 | | her family and friends, the passing of Dolores Stephan; and be | 8 | | it further
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 10 | | presented to the family of Dolores Stephan as a symbol of our | 11 | | sincere sympathy.
