AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3509

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3509, on page 3, line 8, after "professional", by inserting ", unless precluded by adopted sterilization or isolation protocols"; and

on page 3, line 11, by replacing "The" with "If the health care professional has an office in which he or she sees current or prospective patients, then the"; and

on page 3, immediately below line 22, by inserting the following:

"(b-5) A health care worker or provider who is not licensed by the State shall also wear a name tag during all patient encounters that clearly identifies his or her position or title. The name tag shall be of sufficient size and be worn in a conspicuous manner so as to be visible and apparent. No positions or titles that conflict with licensed health care professionals may be used."; and

on page 4, by replacing lines 6 through 13 with the following:

"(c) Any health care professional who violates any provision of this Act is guilty of unprofessional conduct and subject to disciplinary action under the appropriate provisions of the specific Act governing that health care profession.".
