AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2843

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2843 as follows:
 
3on page 1, line 5, by replacing "2-3.153" with "22-65"; and
 
4on page 1, by replacing lines 6 through 20 with the following:
 
5    "(105 ILCS 5/22-65 new)
6    Sec. 22-65. The Task Force on the Prevention of Sexual
7Abuse of Children. The Task Force on the Prevention of Sexual
8Abuse of Children is created within the Department of Children
9and Family Services. The Task Force shall consist of all of the
10following members:
11        (1) One member of the General Assembly and one member
12    of the public, appointed by the President of the Senate.
13        (2) One member of the General Assembly and one member
14    of the public, appointed by the Minority Leader of the
15    Senate.

1        (3) One member of the General Assembly and one member
2    of the public, appointed by the Speaker of the House of
3    Representatives.
4        (4) One member of the General Assembly and one member
5    of the public, appointed by the Minority Leader of the
6    House of Representatives.
7        (5) The Director of Children and Family Services or his
8    or her designee.
9        (6) The State Superintendent of Education or his or her
10    designee.
11        (7) The Director of Public Health or his or her
12    designee.
13        (8) The Executive Director of the Illinois Violence
14    Prevention Authority or his or her designee.
15        (9) A representative of an agency that leads the
16    collaboration of the investigation, prosecution, and
17    treatment of child sexual and physical abuse cases,
18    appointed by the Director of Children and Family Services.
19        (10) A representative of an organization representing
20    law enforcement, appointed by the Director of State Police.
21        (11) A representative of a statewide professional
22    teachers' organization, appointed by the head of that
23    organization.
24        (12) A representative of a different statewide
25    professional teachers' organization, appointed by the head
26    of that organization.

1        (13) A representative of an organization involved in
2    the prevention of child abuse in this State, appointed by
3    the Director of Children and Family Services.
4        (14) A representative of an organization representing
5    school management in this State, appointed by the State
6    Superintendent of Education.
7        (15) Erin Merryn, for whom Section 10-23.13 of this
8    Code is named."; and
 
9by replacing line 17 on page 2 with the following:
10"January 1, 2012.".
