AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2593

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2593 as follows:

on page 2, line 9, by replacing "fee of $1500 $500." with the following: "fee established by administrative rule of the Department, in consultation with the Department of Healthcare and Family Services, but not to exceed $1500 and further subject to the limitations on health care-related taxes imposed by 42 U.S.C. 1396b(w) that, if violated, would result in reductions to the amount of federal financial participation received by the State for Medicaid expenditures of $500."; and

on page 9, line 8, by replacing ", accompanied by a license fee of $50 per" with ", accompanied by a license fee established by administrative rule of the Department, in consultation with the Department of Healthcare and Family Services, but not to exceed $50 per bed and further subject to the limitations on health care-related taxes imposed by 42 U.S.C. 1396b (w) that, if violated, would result in reductions to the amount of federal financial participation received by the State for Medicaid expenditures,"; and

on page 9, line 9, by deleting "bed,"; and

on page 11, line 1, by replacing "and payment of a license fee of $50 per bed" with "and payment of a license fee as established pursuant to Section 5 of this Act".
