1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2590
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2590 on page 1, by
3 replacing line 16 with the following:
4     "(c) A person commits the offense of concealment of death
5 when he or she knowingly moves the body of a dead person from
6 its place of death, with the intent of concealing information
7 regarding the place or manner of death of that person, or the
8 identity of any person with information regarding the death of
9 that person. This subsection shall not apply to any movement of
10 the body of a dead person by medical personnel, fire fighters,
11 law enforcement officers, coroners, medical examiners, or
12 licensed funeral directors, or by any person acting at the
13 direction of medical personnel, fire fighters, law enforcement
14 officers, coroners, medical examiners, or licensed funeral
15 directors.
16     (d) Sentence. Concealment of death is a Class 4 felony.".
