1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2556
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2556, AS AMENDED,
3 by deleting all of Section 10; and

4 in Section 15, in Sec. 18i, by replacing all of the final
5 sentence with the following:
6 "If a local government located in an area that (i) is protected
7 by a federal levee and (ii) located in a flood prevention
8 district established in accordance with the Flood Prevention
9 District Act chooses to participate in the National Flood
10 Insurance Program, it must adopt and maintain ordinances and
11 floodplain management regulations that meet the requirements
12 of 44 C.F.R. 60.3, 60.4, and 60.5, and it must submit copies of
13 those documents to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as
14 required by federal law.".
