1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5448
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5448, AS AMENDED, in
3 Section 5, by replacing the last paragraph of Sec. 203 with the
4 following:

5 "With each marriage license, the county clerk shall provide
6 a pamphlet describing the causes and effects of fetal alcohol
7 syndrome. At least annually, the county board shall cause to be
8 made an audit of the county clerk's compliance with the
9 requirement that the county clerk provide a pamphlet with each
10 marriage license. The county board shall cause each audit to be
11 filed with the Illinois Department of Public Health. All
12 funding and production costs for the aforementioned
13 educational pamphlets for distribution to each county clerk
14 shall be provided by non-profit, non-sectarian statewide
15 programs that provide education, advocacy, support, and
16 prevention services pertaining to Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.".
