SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John P. Hock of Herrin, who passed away on August 25, 2008; and

WHEREAS, John P. Hock was born on September 10, 1962 in Carbondale; his parents were Donald and Sue Ellen (Yates) Hock; and

WHEREAS, John P. Hock received his bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Indiana; he served in the United States Air Force for eight years; and

WHEREAS, John P. Hock was employed by Egypt Flowers and had been previously employed as a schoolteacher; and

WHEREAS, John P. Hock was an avid golfer; and

WHEREAS, John P. Hock was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Paul and Mary Yates; his grandfather, Claude Hock; his aunt, Mary Ann Yates; and his special angels, Ashley and Jessica Ruzick; and

WHEREAS, John P. Hock is survived by his mother; his sister and brother-in-law, Christy and Doug Gribble; his nephews, Jackson and Alex Gribble; his grandmother, Virginia Hock; his aunts and uncles, Ted and Ruby Holmes, Tony and Jane Morgan Colp, and Charlotte and Ronnie Aissie; and his several cousins and special friends, Cheryl and her daughter and Stevie Ruzich; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of John P. Hock; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John P. Hock as an expression of our sympathy.
