AMENDMENT TO SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 6

2     AMENDMENT NO. ___. Amend Senate Joint Resolution 6 on page
3 1, line 4, by inserting "(hereinafter referred to as the Task
4 Force)", after "Convictions"; and
 
5 by replacing lines 10 through 21 on page 1 and lines 1 through
6 3 on page 2 with the following:
7     "WHEREAS, As of the required reporting date, the Task
8 Force's work is still ongoing and further investigation is
9 needed prior to the preparation and submission of its report;
10 therefore, be it
 
11     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
12 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
13 CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Legislative Task Force on
14 Employment of Persons with Past Criminal Convictions,
15 organized pursuant to House Joint Resolution 107 of the 94th
16 General Assembly, is hereby reconstituted; and be it further

1     RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall be comprised of those
2 persons appointed pursuant to House Joint Resolution 107 of the
3 94th General Assembly until such time as those appointing
4 authorities established in House Joint Resolution 107 appoint
5 different persons to the Task Force; and be it further
 
6     RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall have the authority,
7 duties, and purposes as set forth in House Joint Resolution 107
8 of the 94th General Assembly; and be it further
 
9     RESOLVED, That no later than December 31, 2008, the Task
10 Force shall submit a report to the Governor and General
11 Assembly of its findings and recommendations; and that the Task
12 Force shall be dissolved after the filing of this report; and
13 be it further
 
14     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15 delivered to the ex-officio members of the Task Force and the
16 Governor of the State of Illinois.".
