SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
70 ILCS 925/17 new

    Amends the Mid-Illinois Medical District Act. Provides for a continuing appropriation of $300,000 from GRF to the District in each of fiscal years 2008 through 2017. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT making continuing appropriations.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Mid-Illinois Medical District Act is amended
5 by adding Section 17 as follows:
 
6     (70 ILCS 925/17 new)
7     Sec. 17. Continuing appropriations; FY08 through FY17. The
8 amount of $300,000, or so much of that amount as may be
9 necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the
10 Mid-Illinois Medical District for its ordinary and contingent
11 expenses in each of the following State fiscal years: 2008,
12 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. The
13 aggregate amount appropriated over those fiscal years under
14 this Section is $3,000,000. This Section constitutes (i) an
15 irrevocable and continuing appropriation of those amounts and
16 (ii) the irrevocable and continuing authority and direction to
17 the State Treasurer and the Comptroller to make the required
18 transfers out of and disbursements from the revenues and funds
19 of the State.
 
20     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
21 becoming law.
