1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 625
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 625 on page 3, line
3 11, after "Act" by inserting ", with the exceptions of
4 facilities operated by a county or Illinois Veterans Homes,";
5 and

6 on page 3, by replacing lines 15 through 19 with the following:

7 "This Act does not apply to any change of ownership of a
8 healthcare facility that is licensed under the Nursing Home
9 Care Act, with the exceptions of facilities operated by a
10 county or Illinois Veterans Homes. Changes of ownership of
11 facilities licensed under the Nursing Home Care Act must meet
12 the requirements set forth in Sections 3-101 through 3-119 of
13 the Nursing Home Care Act."; and

14 on page 13, by replacing lines 4 through 10 with the following:

1 "thereof, that the violation continues. For purposes of this
2 subparagraph (5), facilities licensed under the Nursing Home
3 Care Act, with the exceptions of facilities operated by a
4 county or Illinois Veterans Homes, are exempt from this permit
5 requirement. However, facilities licensed under the Nursing
6 Home Care Act must comply with Section 3-423 of that Act and
7 must provide the Board with 30-days' written notice of its
8 intent to close.".
