AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2180

2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2180, AS AMENDED,
3 with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No.
4 2, on page 1, line 6, by deleting "1-3.28,"; and
 
5 on page 1, by deleting lines 8 through 22; and
 
6 on page 8, line 5, by replacing "each year" with "every 2
7 years"; and
 
8 on page 8, immediately below line 21, by inserting the
9 following:
10             "(E) The number of direct wine shipper's licenses
11         issued."; and
 
12 on page 8, line 22, by replacing "(E)" with "(F)"; and
 
13 on page 8, line 24, by replacing "to" with "by the State
14 Commission and"; and
 
15 on page 8, line 25, by replacing "Revenue and" with "Revenue;";
16 and
 
17 on page 8, by replacing lines 30 through 34 with the following:

6     (b-3) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, sale and
7 shipment by a direct wine shipper licensee pursuant to this
8 Section shall be deemed to constitute a sale in this State.
9     (b-5) The shipping container of any wine shipped under this
10 Section shall be clearly labeled with the following words:
11 "CONTAINS ALCOHOL. SIGNATURE OF A PERSON 21 YEARS OF AGE OR
12 OLDER REQUIRED FOR DELIVERY. PROOF OF AGE AND IDENTITY MUST BE
13 SHOWN BEFORE DELIVERY.". This warning must be prominently
14 displayed on the packaging. A licensee shall require the
15 transporter or common carrier that delivers the wine to obtain
16 the signature of a person 21 years of age or older at the
17 delivery address at the time of delivery. At the expense of";

4     continue to carefully limit direct shipment sales of wine
5     and to continue to prohibit such direct shipment sales for
