AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 458

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 458, on page 1, line 6, after "5-915", by inserting "and adding Section 1-19"; and

on page 11, immediately below line 26, by inserting the following:

"(705 ILCS 405/1-19 new)

Sec. 1-19. Applicability. Any person between 17 and 18 years of age that commits a Class 3 or 4 felony or a Class A, B, or C misdemeanor or a petty or business offense on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 94th General Assembly shall be subject to the provisions of this Act. Any person between 17 and 18 years of age that commits first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, a Class X, 1, or 2 felony on or after July 1, 2007 shall be subject to the provisions of this Act."; and

on page 77, immediately below line 26, by inserting the following:

"Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.".
