AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4758

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4758, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 3, on page 3, by replacing lines 11 through 15, with the following:

""Abandonment" means that the tenants no longer occupy the dwelling unit and (1) the tenants have provided the landlord with actual notice indicating their intention not to return to the dwelling unit; (2) the tenants have been absent from the dwelling unit for a period of 21 consecutive days, have removed all personal property from the dwelling unit, and have failed to pay rent for that period; or (3) the tenants have been absent from the dwelling unit for 32 consecutive days and have failed to pay rent for that period.".
