AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4414

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4414 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section 22-40 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/22-40 new)

Sec. 22-40. Prohibition on police line-ups and mug photo shoots. No school official or law enforcement agency may recruit or compel a public school student to participate in a police line-up, mock police line-up, or mug photograph shoot while on school grounds or at a school-sponsored activity without the permission of the student's parent or guardian. This Section does not apply to the subject of an investigation who is under arrest.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2006.".
