1 AN ACT concerning higher education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by
5 adding Section 7a-5 as follows:
6 (110 ILCS 305/7a-5 new)
7 Sec. 7a-5. Student conduct; maximum fine. The University
8 may not impose a fine on a student for violating a university
9 policy governing student conduct in an amount that exceeds
10 $25 for a first offense, $50 for a second offense, $75 for a
11 third offense, or $100 for a fourth or subsequent offense.
12 Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management
13 Act is amended by adding Section 8a-5 as follows:
14 (110 ILCS 520/8a-5 new)
15 Sec. 8a-5. Student conduct; maximum fine. The University
16 may not impose a fine on a student for violating a university
17 policy governing student conduct in an amount that exceeds
18 $25 for a first offense, $50 for a second offense, $75 for a
19 third offense, or $100 for a fourth or subsequent offense.
20 Section 15. The Chicago State University Law is amended
21 by adding Section 5-62 as follows:

23 Sec. 5-62. Student conduct; maximum fine. The University
24 may not impose a fine on a student for violating a university
25 policy governing student conduct in an amount that exceeds
26 $25 for a first offense, $50 for a second offense, $75 for a
27 third offense, or $100 for a fourth or subsequent offense.

1 Section 20. The Eastern Illinois University Law is
2 amended by adding Section 10-62 as follows:

5 University may not impose a fine on a student for violating a
6 university policy governing student conduct in an amount that
7 exceeds $25 for a first offense, $50 for a second offense,
8 $75 for a third offense, or $100 for a fourth or subsequent
9 offense.
10 Section 25. The Governors State University Law is
11 amended by adding Section 15-62 as follows:

19 Section 30. The Illinois State University Law is amended
20 by adding Section 20-62 as follows:
