SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

110 ILCS 58/43 new

Amends the Mental Health Early Action on Campus Act. Provides that the board of trustees of each public college or university shall adopt a policy that allows for a minimum of 5 mental health days for students to use per academic year.

AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Mental Health Early Action on Campus Act is amended by adding Section 43 as follows:

Sec. 43. Student mental health days. The board of trustees of each public college or university shall adopt a policy that allows for a minimum of 5 mental health days for students to use per academic year.
