SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William R. "Bill" Taul Sr. of Alton, who passed away on August 25, 2017; and

WHEREAS, William Taul was born in Alton to Theodore Francis and Gertrude (Baker) Taul on October 13, 1929; he served in the United States Army and played in the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league system; he married Rosalie Pavish at Ss. Peter & Paul Proto-Cathedral Church on May 7, 1960; and

WHEREAS, William Taul worked for many years at ConAgra Foods in Alton; he worked part-time at Macy's department store and the Rock Springs Golf Course; and

WHEREAS, William Taul volunteered with the Bucket Brigade, co-sponsored by Pride, Inc., painting homes for area residents in need; he enjoyed bowling, golfing, and spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, William Taul was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosalie; and his siblings, Francis Taul, Martha Davey, and Donald Taul; and

WHEREAS, William Taul is survived by his children, Bill (Jennifer Campbell) Taul, Ed (Gabe) Taul, Mary (Chris) Beiser, Kathy (Bill) Chambers, Todd (Donna) Taul, and Matt (Mary Lou) Taul; his siblings, Harold (Shirley) Taul, Marlene Mattingly, Rosemary Matifes, and Terry (Cathy) Taul; his grandchildren, Shelby Waters, Alex Taul, Jack Taul, Nick Beiser, Andrew (Sarah) Beiser, Ashley (Zach) Righter, Liz Beiser, Lauren Maurutto, Rob Taul, Brad Taul, Max Taul, Leo Taul, Angelina Taul, and Lydia Taul; his dear friend, Patricia Little; many nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William R. "Bill" Taul Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Taul as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
