SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Harold "Hoot" Craig of Indianola, who
4passed away on July 7, 2017, alongside his wife, June; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harold Craig was born near Collison to William J.
6and Vera Gutteridge Craig on March 27, 1926; he served in the
7United States Army and married June Edmonds at the home of the
8bride's parents in Georgetown on October 15, 1948; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Harold Craig owned and operated Craig Dairy Farms
10for over 50 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Harold Craig served on the Indianola Grade School
12Board; he had been a Carroll Township election judge and served
13on the Carroll Township board; he was a member of the
14Georgetown American Legion and enjoyed square dancing,
15hunting, riding, and sports; he was an avid Chicago Cubs fan;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Harold Craig was preceded in death by one brother
18and his sister-in-law, Robert (Kathryn) Craig; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Harold Craig is survived by his daughters, Janey
20(Kim) Jolley and Gaile (Bob) Sekerka; his grandson, Kevin

1(Kara) Jolley; and his great-grandchildren, Kya and Kaelyn
2Jolley; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Harold "Hoot" Craig, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Harold Craig as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
