SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Forrest R. Knapp of Woodstock, who passed
4away on July 25, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Forrest Knapp was born in Carpentersville to Guy
6and Betty (Umathum) Knapp on September 20, 1923; he attended
7Woodstock High School until age 17 when he was recruited for
8military service; he was part of the United States Army Air
9Corps and was stationed in Hawaii, serving two tours until
10March 6, 1946; he married Lillian Rasmussen in Woodstock on
11September 7, 1948; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Forrest Knapp was a lifetime member for over 50
13years of the Woodstock Moose Club; he enjoyed recalling stories
14from the past and sharing them with those he loved; he also
15enjoyed old cars, airplanes, and gardening; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Forrest Knapp was preceded in death by his
17parents; his wife, Lillian; his brother, Robert Knapp; and his
18sister, Gene Hauser; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Forrest Knapp is survived by his son, Richard
20(Teresia) Knapp; his grandchildren, Patrick Adcock, Shannon
21Adcock, and David Adcock; and his great-grandchildren,

1Savannah Adcock, Mikayla Adcock, and Dylan Faughn; therefore,
2be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Forrest R. Knapp, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Forrest Knapp as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
