SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert E. Boyle of McHenry, who passed away on June 26, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Robert Boyle was born in Woodstock to Edwin Boyle and Marian (Gielow) Meyers on July 1, 1942; he married Georgia Manning in St. Patrick Church in McHenry on February 4, 1967; and

WHEREAS, Robert Boyle started his career as a teen in the panel board department at Jemison Electric in Crystal Lake and worked there for 32 years; after its closing, he worked for Kinney Electric in Elgin for 26 years; and

WHEREAS, Robert Boyle enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman; he was a collector and enjoyed going to flea markets and bringing home his treasures; he especially loved the wooden animals his friend made; he enjoyed spending time at his home in Wisconsin; he took meticulous care of his home and everything he owned; he always wanted to be surrounded with the laughter of grandchildren and held many family gatherings at his home; and

WHEREAS, Robert Boyle was preceded in death by his parents; his Grandma Gielow; his stepfathers, John Milke and Bill Meyers; his in-laws, George and Harriet Manning; his dear niece, Cathy Knor; and his cousin, Jerry Boyle; and

WHEREAS, Robert Boyle is survived by his wife of 50 years, Georgia; his children, Sherri Boyle, Kelly (James) Irwin, and Mike Boyle; his son-in-law, Tim Pankiewicz; his grandchildren, Trevor Pankiewicz, Kalei Pankiewicz, Rachel Irwin, and Delia Irwin; his brothers, Jimmy Milke and Randy Meyers; his brother and sisters-in-law, Marilyn (the late Jack) Willnecker, Annemae (the late Stanley) Lezon, Carole (the late Tony) Knor, and George (Linda) Manning; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert E. Boyle, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Boyle as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
