SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William J. Aery of Godfrey, who passed
4away on April 30, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Aery was born in Lincoln to Theodore
6Forrest and Alberta (Reynolds) Aery on January 30, 1931; he
7married Charlene Gammaitoni in Alton on December 28, 1972; and
 
8    WHEREAS, William Aery retired as Vice President of the
9Northern Division of the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company; he always
10enjoyed collecting Pepsi memorabilia; and
 
11    WHEREAS, William Aery served on the Madison County Board;
12he also served as the Madison County Treasurer; and
 
13    WHEREAS, William Aery was a member of Saint Ambrose Parish
14in Godfrey and the Godfrey Lions Club; he and his wife enjoyed
15traveling in their recreational vehicle and spending winters in
16Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and
 
17    WHEREAS, William Aery was preceded in death by his parents;
18his son, Michael J. Aery; and his siblings, Norman Aery,
19Raymond Aery, Ronald Reynolds, Phillip Leonard Aery, and
20Gertrude "Trudy" Aery; and

1    WHEREAS, William Aery is survived by his wife, Charlene;
2his children, Mark Aery, Gail (Alan) Hill, and Neil (Pam) Aery;
3his grandchildren, Justin Dean Hill, Justin Ian Acker, Matthew
4Ryan Hill, and Maggie, Cassidy, and Sophia Aery; and his
5great-granddaughter, Callie Marie Acker; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8William J. Aery, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of William Aery as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
