SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert P. Ellison of Spring Grove, who
4passed away on December 12, 2016 at the age of 55; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Ellison was born in Chicago to William and
6Dolores (Partington) Ellison on April 12, 1961; he married his
7childhood sweetheart, Bobbie Forsythe, on December 30, 1982;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Ellison attended Saint Patrick High School
10until he enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 18;
11he was stationed in California and proudly served for five
12years; upon his discharge, he and Bobbie moved the family back
13to Illinois; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Ellison was a carpenter by trade and he
15loved to build anything with wood; his passions for camping,
16target practice, playing the lottery, and his newly discovered
17interest in golf were all reflections of his spirit; he was not
18a fan of modern technology, but he loved his solitaire app; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Robert Ellison was preceded in death by his
20parents; his brother, Terry Ellison; and his two sisters,
21Maureen Prince and Barbara Hamros; and

1    WHEREAS, Robert Ellison is survived by his wife of 33
2years, Bobbie; his two children, Amanda and John Ellison; his
3sister, Kathy (Gary) Golub; his brother-in-law, John Prince;
4and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert P. Ellison, and
8extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all
9who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Robert Ellison as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
