SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John Arthur Forbish of Harvard, who passed away on March 15, 2017; and

WHEREAS, John Forbish was born in Harvard to Arthur V. and Grace M. (Schmid) Forbish on April 4, 1935; he graduated with a bachelor's degree in piano performance and conducting from the University of Illinois; he married the love of his life, and best friend Barb Britt on December 26, 1992; and

WHEREAS, John Forbish was a musician, teacher, choir director, and entertainer for over 50 years; and

WHEREAS, John Forbish was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Musician's Union, the Knights of Columbus, and the founder of the Queen's Vagabonds Ecumenical choir; and

WHEREAS, John Forbish was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Lisa (Blee) Campbell; and

WHEREAS, John Forbish is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Barb; his children, Larry (Katie) Forbish, Patricia Forbish, and Jennifer (Scott) Morris; his grandchildren, Katelyn Forbish, Chris (Diana) Morris, Ashley, Alex and Vanessa Morris, and Gabrielle Forbish; his sister, Sylvia (Richard) Blee; and he and Barb always thought of Keith (Teri) McCloud, and Samantha as their children, and Kayla and Daniele as their grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John Arthur Forbish, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Forbish as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
