SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lucille E. Salzman of Woodstock, who passed away on March 3, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Salzman was born in McHenry to Peter and Theresa (Freund) Weingart on February 1, 1923; she married William Salzman on June 13, 1946; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Salzman worked in Woodstock for many years at R.C. Allen Typewriter, R.O. Andrew Company, and O'Leary Construction; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Salzman was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hartland for 25 years and Saint Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock for over 40 years; she enjoyed bowling, golfing, reading, walking, Sunday paper crossword puzzles, playing dominoes, and spending time with her family; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Salzman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; her sister, Rita; her brothers, Harold and Peter; and her niece, Jayne; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Salzman is survived by her daughters, Patricia (George) Taylor, and Suellen (Donald) Giorgi; her grandchildren, Michael (Kimberly) Salzman, Christopher (Jennifer) Schaefer, and Lisa (Keith) Borchardt; and her great-grandsons, Andrew and Brandon Schaefer, and Hunter and Maximus Borchardt; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lucille E. Salzman, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lucille Salzman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
