SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Corrine Luka of North Chicago, who passed away on October 2, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Corrine Luka retired from the North Chicago Police Department after 29 years of service; and

WHEREAS, As an advisor for the program, Corrine Luka was very proud of the growth and maturity of "her kids" in the NCPD Explorer Unit; she enjoyed cooking for her beloved family and her "Boys", the officers at NCPD; her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren; she also looked forward to visiting her friends around the country; and

WHEREAS, Corrine Luka was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Evelyn Pregrocki; and

WHEREAS, Corrine Luka is survived by her children, Colleen (Al Pichl) Thompson and Jamie (Grace) Luka; her grandchildren, Danielle (Jeff) Courtney, April (Matt) Puskar, Jackie Luka, Joshua Luka, and Jacob Luka; her great-granddaughter, Isabelle Puskar; and her brother, Joseph (Jayne) Pregrocki; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Corrine Luka and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Corrine Luka as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
