SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert E. Mueller of Silvis, who passed away on November 11, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Robert Mueller was born in Wever, Iowa to Robert Sr. and Elsie Lang Mueller on December 26, 1925; he served in the United States Navy during World War II; he married Martha L. Hasenclever on August 1, 1945; and

WHEREAS, Robert Mueller worked on barges on the Mississippi River after serving his country; he later retired from AT&T after 30 years of service; after retirement, he helped his son build houses; and

WHEREAS, Robert Mueller enjoyed golfing and was a past member of the Geneseo Country Club; and

WHEREAS, Robert Mueller was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha; and his brother, Howard; and

WHEREAS, Robert Mueller is survived by his children, Kathleen (Gerald) Schmidt and David (Jean) Mueller; his grandchildren, Andrew, Jared, and Jonathan Schmidt and Temple Miller; and his great-grandchildren, Abigail and Emily Coakley; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert E. Mueller and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Mueller as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
