2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert D. "Bob" Beaulieu of Palatine, who
4passed away on November 15, 2018; and
5    WHEREAS, Bob Beaulieu was born in Chicago to Earl and
6Kathleen Beaulieu on July 13, 1925; he grew up in Chicago's Old
7Town neighborhood and graduated from Waller High School in
81944; he joined the U.S. Marines and fought in the Battle of
9Iwo Jima; he was honorably discharged as a corporal; and
10    WHEREAS, Following his military service, Bob Beaulieu
11founded his own real estate business; it later evolved into
12local business investments and the successful development of
13early timeshares in Orlando, Florida; and
14    WHEREAS, Bob Beaulieu enjoyed golf, card games, spending
15time in Hillsboro Beach, Florida and following Chicago's sports
16teams; and
17    WHEREAS, Bob Beaulieu was the beloved husband for 72 years
18of Elaine (Mistretta); the loving father of Cynthia (Patrick)
19Oliver, Robert (Regina) Beaulieu, Kathleen "Kat" (Jim
20Peterson) Beaulieu, David Beaulieu, and John (Georgia
21Papagiannis) Beaulieu; the proud grandfather of Ryan Oliver,

1Rob (Taylor) Oliver, Rory (Samantha) Oliver, Alex Beaulieu,
2Christina Beaulieu, Ashley Beaulieu, Julie (Joe) Alagna,
3Elaine "Lainey" Beaulieu, Mary Beaulieu, and Jamie (Heather)
4Carlson; the great-grandfather of Griffin, Kate, Ward, and
5Carter; the dear brother of the late Doris Conway; the
6cherished brother-in-law of the late John (Geraldine)
7Mistretta, Robert (Delores) Mistretta, Marion (Michael) Karl,
8Joan (Joseph) Pellettiere, and Yvonne (Charles) Plotz; the fond
9uncle of Patricia (Paul) Van Wert, Michael (the late Barbara)
10Carrera, Camille Basak, Clifford (Jane) Mistretta, Joseph
11Pellettiere, the late Barbara Mistretta, the late Julie
12Pellettiere, and the late Jerome (Susanna) Carrera; and the
13great-uncle of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Robert D. "Bob" Beaulieu and extend our sincere condolences to
17his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Bob Beaulieu as an expression of our
21deepest sympathy.
