SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Francis "Frank" Myers of Jerseyville, who passed away on November 17, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Frank Myers was born in East Alton to George E. and Mabel W. (Jones) Myers on September 8, 1942; he married Carol Joy Wallace at Castle Air Force Base in California on November 19, 1962; and

WHEREAS, Frank Myers retired from the Wood River Police Department and the Illinois Secretary of State Office; and

WHEREAS, Frank Myers was a member of the Wood River Masonic Lodge #1062, the Wood River Moose Lodge #1349, the Wood River Lions Club, and the Ainad Shrine Temple in East St. Louis, Scottish Rite, Consistory of Southern Illinois Valley; he was a life member of the Madison County Police Association and Metro Police Benevolence; and

WHEREAS, Frank Myers was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol; his daughters, Natalie Myers and Baby Girl Myers; and his brother, Donald Myers Sr.; and

WHEREAS, Frank Myers is survived by his daughter, Kim (David) Varble; his grandchildren, Kassandra Grant, Devin Grant, Amanda (Steven Schreier) Varble, and Natasha Myers; his great-grandchildren, Mila Joy Grant and Konnor Daniel Grant; his siblings, Marcella and Thomas Kuehnel, Shirley Reynolds, Wanda and Theron Ridenbark, and Reverend Clyde and Virginia Myers; and his special nephew, Timothy Myers; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Francis "Frank" Myers and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frank Myers as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
