SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Barbara Josephine Koeller Kramer of Bunker Hill, who passed away on November 11, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Kramer was born in Hannibal, Missouri to Marion and Ruth (Main) Koeller on July 2, 1936; she graduated from Lindenwood College and Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, where she earned a bachelor's degree in music and master's degrees in music and music education; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Kramer was a professional music performer and educator; she taught music for the Southwestern School District, Lewis & Clark Community College, and Blackburn College; she was music director for the First Congregational Church in Bunker Hill for 42 years; she also worked at Halpin Music in Alton; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Kramer was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Kramer is survived by her daughters, Rachel (Mary Lynn Barber) and Claire Kramer (Dan Behnen); her brother, Robert (Marlene) Koeller; her nieces, Kristin (Mark) Sneider and Kathy (Chris) Syrus; her nephew, Rob (Alina Collins) Koeller; five great-nephews; one great-niece; numerous cousins; and countless colleagues, students, and cherished friends, including her longtime friend, Mary Burns; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Barbara Josephine Koeller Kramer and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Barbara Kramer as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
