SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Barbara Josephine Koeller Kramer of
4Bunker Hill, who passed away on November 11, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Barbara Kramer was born in Hannibal, Missouri to
6Marion and Ruth (Main) Koeller on July 2, 1936; she graduated
7from Lindenwood College and Southern Illinois University in
8Edwardsville, where she earned a bachelor's degree in music and
9master's degrees in music and music education; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Barbara Kramer was a professional music performer
11and educator; she taught music for the Southwestern School
12District, Lewis & Clark Community College, and Blackburn
13College; she was music director for the First Congregational
14Church in Bunker Hill for 42 years; she also worked at Halpin
15Music in Alton; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Barbara Kramer was preceded in death by her
17parents; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Barbara Kramer is survived by her daughters,
19Rachel (Mary Lynn Barber) and Claire Kramer (Dan Behnen); her
20brother, Robert (Marlene) Koeller; her nieces, Kristin (Mark)
21Sneider and Kathy (Chris) Syrus; her nephew, Rob (Alina

1Collins) Koeller; five great-nephews; one great-niece;
2numerous cousins; and countless colleagues, students, and
3cherished friends, including her longtime friend, Mary Burns;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Barbara Josephine Koeller Kramer and extend our sincere
8condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
9her; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Barbara Kramer as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
